Short summary

Sean and Christian struggle to keep their plastic surgery company, McNamara/Troy, successful in the declining economy. With Julia now living away in New York, Sean struggles with the stress of finances and keeps himself distant from Teddy who returns with a new face and wanting to pick up where they left off. Christian, after finding out that he's not dying, deals with a vindictive Liz who's now suing him for everything when he wants to end their marriage. But soon, both egotistical doctors have high hopes when they both meet Dr. Mike Hamoui who's more then happy to come on board their practice with his new vaginal surgeries. Meanwhile, both Matt and Kimber have mixed results in their new separate career paths while he wants to attend mime school and she tries to come on board the practice with a new electro-procedure for the patients.

Rose McGowan replaced Katee Sackhoff after the latter signed for Lost and Found (2009) and was unable to commit to the role of Teddy again.

Interesting addition to the cast, well, supporting cast, Rose McGowan. She and Julian McMahon were both in CHARMED, only he was supporting cast back then. (Never could stand the guy, called him a lounge lizard back then, so, imagine, when he popped up later in NIP/TUCK, I've never been quite happy with him in this part, I mean, could the ladies really be so mad about him?) Anyway, cute as a squirrel, the girl from CHARMED and JAWBREAKER is one of the very few saving graces here. Loved the ponytail. She should have been in the part from the beginning. For once, though, not complaining about 'an impostor' taking over.

It's the sixth season, and the fifth was already on borrowed time. The ludicrous plot development with creepy dude Matt inexplicably set on being a mime, really shows how in the doldrums this thing is. Much as I loathe him, the guy's been married to a porn star, had relationships with every kind of weird psycho, has been addicted to every known substance, circumcised himself, was burnt by fire, and almost drowned in a pool, in short, he is way beyond being interested in such a banal trivial activity. It was just the only way the scriptwriters could connect him to a comically fake firearm. And the dude looks absolutely even more pathetic this way, all the more laughable. That's what sealed it.

In this episode, Shannon Sturges appears in a minor role. Time hadn't treated her well. Difficult for me to watch, last time I saw her was in SAVANNAH.

I'm mainly here because I bought all the seasons while watching the first. The series has it's good moments, but for every good one, I could name ten cringe-worthy ones. And I'm not talking about the operating theater scenes, I'm talking about the inanely absurd stuff. From the way this starts out, I do not think that any of my opinions will change.
