Fresh from their adventure in the Rainbow Mist, the Straw Hat Pirates narrowly avoid being smashed by a wrecked ship falling from the sky. Known as the St. Briss, it's deceased captain left behind clues to a mysterious island in the sky. The is supported by the way the Log Pose has been caught by a magnetic field supposedly in the air, as well as the discovery of a map of the very island, known as Skypiea. However, in order to find the way up there, Luffy, Zoro and Sanji must search the now-sunken ship. In addition, the rest of the crew has to deal with the King of Salvagers, the monkey man Masira, who lays claim to any sunken ship in the area, and his band of loyal cymbal-playing shipmates. Not to mention the sea monsters lurking in the depths, waiting to swallow anything in their path...

This was the first episode to be dubbed by Funimation, the current English licenser of One Piece.
