» » I Love Lucy The Indian Show (1951–1957)

Short summary

Ricky is planning an Indian show at the club and needs to find a few Indians to be included. Of course, Lucy, Fred & Ethel want to be part of it. Ricky hires Fred & Ethel but not Lucy, so Lucy has to resort to trickery to be included.

Actual "I Love Lucy" merchandise can be seen in the Ricardo's apartment during this episode. The stick-figure caricatures of Lucy and Ricky from the show's intro scene appear on Little Ricky's blanket in his crib.

Juanita, who sings "The Waters of the Minnetonka," was played by Carole (Carol) Richards, who was the voice double for many movie musical performers. She sang for Cyd Charisse several times and Vera Ellen in several musicals of the 1950s. She also was the ghost voice for a few other performers as well, but she is most famous for her singing voice for Cyd Charisse and Vera Ellen.
