Jerry, ever alert to pretty girls, comes in contact with the maid of a wealthy family. She has been to market and Jerry relieves her of her burden. He is about to accept her invitation to dine with her when the policeman on the beat, who is also infatuated with the maid, appears. The officer hurls Jerry to the ground and then follows the maid to the kitchen. Jerry determined to gain an entrance to the place, starts for the door again, when Hank, the janitor, appears and another fight starts. Jerry is pounded again and Hank goes inside. A fight starts between the janitor and the bluecoat, the latter using his club freely and throwing the janitor downstairs to the cellar. Jerry is lost as to what to do when he spies the police captain. He hurries to him and tells his tale of woe and the Captain decides to go after his subordinate. Jerry follows in and while the two officers are fighting Jerry opens the door leading to the cellar and throws them both down to join the janitor. Jerry is ...
