In the summer of 2013, inspired by the use of emulsion to track radioactive particles in nuclear physics, I buried several rolls of unexposed 16mm film stock in irradiated topsoil, 10km from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. After two weeks, I exhumed and scanned the film, selecting from the resultant images a single 4-minute segment.
