Short summary
The sound of breaking glass heard at the end of the scene where the man is looking at the lipstick-smeared mirror was actually the sound of an unsecured light falling and narrowly missing the actor.
The role of the wife's friend had to be recast at the last minute by the director's personal friend, because the original actress (lined out months in advance) canceled two hours before her scenes were to be shot. This became her acting debut.
The party scene was actually a real Halloween party (albeit a month early) attended by personal friends, and both the director and the writer can be seen walking around the party, tending to the guests.
The scene of the man coming home early in the morning from the strip club had to be done in only two takes because real whiskey was used and the lead actor doesn't drink very often.
Upon arriving on location to shoot the scene of the man walking to his car at the beginning of the film, the cast and crew were quickly greeted by a police officer looking for a man in a hooded sweatshirt who had just stabbed someone. Because of the long dolly shot, co-producer Genevieve Montgomery was given a diver's knife to protect herself as she recorded sound from the opposite side of the parking lot. By herself.
The coffee shop scene was partially lit by the director's car parked across the street with the headlights aimed at the actors.
The entire movie was shot on a Canon 60D with the exception of the shot of the wife with her robe blowing in slow motion, taken with a Sony handy-cam at 120 frames per second as she was standing beneath the roof-mounted swamp cooler.
The pills the man ate in Dave's bathroom were actually hardshell York peppermint candies, with the blue ones picked out.
The effect of the wife putting out the man's cigarette on her arm was achieved by placing a dime under a small round band-aid on her skin. The band aid was going to be removed in post production but it was shot and edited in such a way that it made its removal unnecessary.
Writer and co-producer W.Y. Johnson has several cameos in the film, including the man that "breaks the ice" in the awkward dinner party scene, and the "hipster" tending the fire in the Halloween party scene.
The song used in the first trailer, from which the title "Mine To Keep" was derived, was written nearly two full years before preproduction began by director Justin Christenson, and long-time collaborator DJ Ryu.
While the man and Chastity are smoking in the alley behind the strip club, the actors decided at the last minute to try the scene without any of the man's lines. This is the version used in the final cut.
Unfamiliar with the new camera, all the footage on the first day of shooting was shot at 30 frames per second, instead of the intended 24 frames per second. All of the scenes shot on day 1 had to be slowed to 80% to match the frame rate of the rest of the movie. None of the scenes had dialogue, and the reduced speed contributed to the setting's somber tone.
In the first take of the wife's cigarette scene, the burning embers exploded very spectacularly, causing the cast and crew to erupt in gasps and awe. If you look closely, the burning embers are still smoldering on her arm as she walks back inside.
The working title for the film was "God's Bathroom Floor" until a song with the same name by Atmosphere was discovered. It was then changed to "Your Mine" but the title tested poorly with focus groups. The final name was plucked from the lyrics of the song used in the first trailer.
The film was shot in 10 days over the span of 6 months.

The actress playing the wife chewed on Alka-Seltzer to produce the foam during her dead body's discovery.
The arm cast referred to in the Halloween party scene was the result of the lead actress falling off her truck, breaking her wrist and her tail bone midway through shooting. Subsequently, the strip club scenes had to be postponed for 4 weeks to allow the actress to heal well enough to dance.
During filming of the final scene where the man walks past his dead wife as she lays on the bathroom floor, the actress was unavailable and the writer/co-producer's friend acted as her stunt-double, later dubbed "dead-body girlfriend".
