The 1983 NFL Draft is one of the deepest drafts in NFL History as far as the drafting of future NFL quarterbacks. John Elway(Colts then traded to the Broncos), Jim Kelly(Bills), Todd Blackledge(Chiefs), Tony Eason(Patriots), Ken O'Brien(Jets) and Dan Marino(Dolphins) were the first round quarterbacks drafted that year. Of these quarterbacks, four played in the Super Bowl, four were selected to play in the Pro Bowl, and three have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

As far as the top non quarterbacks taken in this draft you also had Eric Dickerson(Rams), Bruce Matthews(Oilers), Henry Ellard(Rams), Roger Craig(49ers), Reggie Roby(Dolphins) and others.
