Short summary

A wallflower at a 1940's swing dance supper party is determined not to be a wallflower anymore. As a silent-era film set at a swing dance, the film features dancing that hearkens back to classic movie musicals.

The film was inspired by images Tyler and his dad found of his grandfather swing dancing. Tyler's grandfather, Al Rabinowitz, suffered from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and passed away on December 12th, 2005. His grandfather's love of swing - especially the song "In the Mood" - as well as the images of him smiling and dancing motivated Tyler to bring this film to life.

Tyler is an alumnus of the National YoungArts Foundation - he was a 2011 Winner in Cinematic Arts and a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. He now does videography / editing work for their organization and this allowed him to afford to make the film on his own.

In addition to being a full-time NYU student, Tyler worked two jobs in order to fund this film entirely independently. Knowing how stubborn his grandfather was, he took a page out of his book by refusing to ask others for money and continuing to work even harder if the budget were to increase.
