After a robbery goes wrong, a team of thieves betray one another which leads to a fight for survival.

The film was originally supposed to have spoken dialogue but due to technical difficulties, the audio was muted and overlayed with a soundtrack and subtitles to create the story.

A sequel has been in talks for over a year. Writer Jourdan Chow came up with many ideas but none were finalized.

Xen was originally supposed to assist with the production (fight choreography and cameraman), but since actor Edward Li disappeared after the first day of shooting, his role was replaced by Xen.

Stuntman and actor Emerson Wong whom is a good friend of Seiji Marangos, accompanied him on set. Unfortunately no roles were given to him since the shooting was nearly finished.

Each of the actors possess different martial arts skills and wanted to utilize them in their fight scenes to show the diversity. Kent, Kenneth and Vincent were Tae Kwon Do, Jourdan was Wushu, Seiji was Capoeira, and Allen and Xen were Wing Chun.

The oX Pasture's first film that breaks the movie up into chapters and uses non-linear storytelling. Troika (2004) being their second to use the same story telling techniques as well.

The fight in "The Rumble" was not choreographed ahead of time, so all the participants had free reign to do what they wanted.

A brief scene where an actor (Kent) is relieving himself has become a reoccurring gag in all of the oX Pasture's future films.

Vincent's stumble over some branches during the chase scene in "The Rumble" was actually not scripted but kept in due to authenticity of the shot.

The tree branch that Xen accidentally ran into during "The Pain" was actually being held up physically by one of the other crew members

When Allen fell off the bridge and into the ravine, he cut his finger from a broken glass in the water causing severe bleeding. Fortunately a fire station was nearby the shooting location which gave Allen medical treatment.
