Short summary
A man is stuck in a routine and held there by his obsession with media, until the real world brings him to life.
A man wakes up every morning, goes to work everyday, goes to sleep every night, but remains detached from the real world. He keeps himself sedated throughout the time by listening to talk radio, watching news and talking to friends about "important issues." Finally he is literally knocked in the head by reality, and he wakes up.
The television program the main character is watching is actually a short documentary that director Tom Andrews made in College. It is about College Football Tailgating.
