This short starts out to be pretty much a genre short film of a job (probably) gone wrong. We know this early on as the two characters await the other two men for the four-man job; problem is that one has cried off and as a result another has made the decision to rope in Reggie to fill the gap – or, as the others know him, "that drug-addled piece of sh*t". With this character established before we even see him, we can be confident that probably this film will not be one of a nice neat job where all goes well – and indeed, not to give too much away that is specific, but generally things do not go well.

In this sense the film is pretty much what you expect although it does do a decent job of delivering the "job gone wrong" film. What makes it more memorable is a certain twists that breaks us out of the reality of the film even while at the same time keeping us in it – again I won't say too much but there is a nice dark humour to the film that runs throughout and makes it engaging. Ultimately it doesn't end as being amazing or a short I would come back to again and again, but it is effective for what it does and was more amusing than I expected it to be – judging the tone right so it can be funny without being silly.

Like the previous reviewers stated, this movie is boring. Why not make something serious and intelligent rather than consistently making silly and mediocre movies? This kind of thing has been done a million times before and it's been done better. Why bother making this film at all? It's just pathetic and mediocre. Like Kaitlyn007 said, it has the wit of a high school dropout. I agree. Script writers like these need to start reading books, pick up the occasional newspaper, anything to make their movies more intelligent, current, and creative. Stop rehashing what has already been done a million times before! It just comes off as pathetic. As for whether or not I would ever watch this movie again the answer, like Bob stated before me, is a resounding NO!!

This is my first real review on IMDb and since I live in Halifax I thought it should be about a local film. My first comment on this film is that it looks pristine. The directing, hair and makeup, wardrobe, and music were all awesome and very well done. The art department is obviously pro. However, this film cannot slide by on looks alone.

The acting, particularly by the actor playing Kyle, was terrible. This actor seemed to think that saying everything in a hushed mono tone equals something akin to sincerity and quality acting. The puppet even seemed to have more an array of emotion.

The humor in this film has the range of intelligence and wit of a high school dropout. That is to say, it has nothing interesting or new to say. This film is simply a throw back, a nod to films that have done this genre better in the past. In this sense, it is superfluous and a redundancy in the film industry.

The fact that this film has won anything is a testament to how bleak the landscape of Canadian film really is. It's not original, it's not smart, it's not entertaining, and it certainly is not art.

In short, this movie bored me. If this were a feature length film it would be collecting dust at the bottom of the 99 cent bin at your nearest Wal-Mart. Don't waste your time, even if it's only ten minutes. Go watch Iron Man instead.
