Vera Holtz played as Reynaldo Gianecchini's mother in Passione (2010), but in this telenovela, she plays as his step-mother.

Renato Góes was initially cast to portray Gustavo in the later episodes of the telenovela. He was even credited and also featured in the promotional clips of the series. He later dropped out to star in a new telenovela "Em Nome do Amor" set to premiere later in 2017. Daniel Rocha replaced him.

Before José Mayer, Domingos Montagner was set to star in the series as Tião, but dropped out to star in its predecessor Velho Chico (2016) where he later drowned in São Francisco river while he took a break with a co-star to take a swim.

The name of the character of Otávio Augusto, César Venturini, is actually inspired by Lázaro Venturini (Lima Duarte) in Моя любовь, моя печаль (1990).

The name of the character of Titina Medeiros, Ruty Raquel, is inspired by the twins Ruty and Raquel portrayed by Glória Pires in Секрет тропиканки (1993) and Eva Wilma in Mulheres de Areia (1973).

Gabriela Duarte portrayed the younger version of her mother (Regina Duarte) role in this series. She has once before portrayed the younger version her mother back in Por Amor (1997).
