The film took scenes from all previous Nasir Hussain productions and redid them as a part of the story, including the train top song from his first production Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, the runaway girl from Caravan, the song contest from Hum Kisise Kum Naheen.

The film was not successful like other Nasir Hussain films and was declared a flop.

Technically this film was Nasir Hussein's best work, it was less successful film but till now this film is liked, seen and is in demand. In those days Mansoor Khan had come back from abroad and was incharge for the dico lighting. This film was started after Zabardast was shelved.

In this film for the first time, singer Manna Day sings a disco song main hoon woh albela....along Asha Bhosle which was shot on Vijay Arora. This good song was missing from from the lp record of this film.

As Mohamed Rafi always sings the songs in all of Nasir Hussein's film, in Zamane Ko Dikhana Ha, he also sang all the songs except for 2 songs, due to his demise, were sang by Shailendra Singh and also he sang all the male songs in Nasir Hussein next movie, Manzil Manzil.

Nafisa Ali had signed the film. But her father did not agree to some conditions on the contract. She was dropped from the film.

Padmini Kolhapure signed the film on sets of Insaaf Ka Taraazu 1980.Film went on floors without any announcement.Film did not do well as other films of Nasir Hussain and Rishi Kapoor blamed himself for it.He couldn't face Nasir Hussain and hence dint sign his next film Manzil Manzil 1984.

Raj Kapoor found out that Padmini Kolhapure has signed the film opposite his on Rishi Kapoor.He then signed her for Prem Rog 1982 opposite Rishi Kapoor.

RD Burman had composed the music for Zabardast.When the film was shelved he used the music for this film.

Anil Pal whose credited for handling the Light effects for the film was son in law of Nasir Hussain.He was married to his daughter Nuzhat Khan.He father of actor Imran Khan.

After success of Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi 1977 Nasir Hussain announced Zabardast in 1979 with the biggest cast Dilip Kumar, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Raj Kiran, Asha Parekh, Zeenat Aman, Tina Munim and Kaajal Kiran.The film was shelved after Nasir Hussain and Dilip Kumar would have clashes on how the film should be shot.Nasir Hussain had respect for Dilip Kumar and didn't want to replace him hence shelved the film and started Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai.Zabardast was made later made with Sunny Deol ,Sanjeev Kumar,Rati Agnihotri,Jaya Parda,Tanuja,Rajeev Kapoor and Amish Puri in 1985.

Subodh Mukerji a comical hotel manager .This character was based on Hussain's friend in real life, the filmmaker Subodh Mukerji, who made many successful films such as Munimji (1955), Paying Guest (1957) and Junglee (1961).

Mansoor Khan managed the light effects for the film.He can be seen on the stage managing the lights during the medley song behind Padmini Kolhapure and Rishi Kapoor.

Nasir Hussain's inspiration for the disco lights on the stage was apparently the 1977 classic, Saturday Night Fever, which starred John Travolta.

Traiq Hussain rose to fame with Yaadon Ki Baarat 1973 and Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi 1977.His later films hardly acknowledged him hence he was added to the cast by uncle Nasir Hussain to save his career.His character Robin enters the film few minutes before the climax which to went unrecognized.

Rishi Kapoor's movements in Hoga Tumse were shot and choreographed inside a studio, with back projection being used to create a real, life-like.It gave the appearance of the actor actually dancing on top of a moving train.

After the film flopped, Rishi Kapoor refused to take any phone calls from Nasir Hussein.

Nasir Hussein and R.D.Burman made the singer manna day to sing an disco song with asha bhonsle ' main hoon woh albela sara jahan hu mein akela.....' this song was picturised on vijay arora and this song was missing from l.p.records of this film. R.d.burman had composed other nasir hussein, dilip kumar starer 'zabardast'. He usued in zkdh after 'zabardast' was shelved. Two songs the qawali paari ho asmani tum & hoga tumse pyara kaun, shot on the train, these 2 songs were to be sung by mohd rafi but after rafi demise, shailendra sang this songs.
