A controversial right-winged politician receives a bullet along with a threatening letter, but doesn't take it seriously and refuses police protection. When he is murdered shortly after, Grijpstra and De Gier suspect it to be a politically motivated murder. They also discover the man's younger brother is addicted to drugs and was about to be sent to a Scottish boarding school by him. Also, he once ran into a young girl, leaving her severely disabled, prompting suspicions that her father may have been out for revenge.

Right before the filming of this episode Jack Wouterse was involved in a bicycle accident which left him with a temporary limp. The script for the episode had to be adjusted slightly because of this.

This episode was shot for the first season.
