The Ukrainian League of Philadelphia was founded in 1917 to organize American citizens of Ukrainian descent and to cultivate respect for the Constitution of the United States of America. The Ukrainian League works to preserve Ukrainian culture and offer its membership a forum that cultivates social consciousness among Ukrainians. Ukrainian League of Philadelphia Arts Committee was founded in October 2005. It's mission is "To preserve Ukrainian culture and tradition by promoting and exhibiting Ukrainian ethnic and contemporary art." Since its inception the Arts Committee produced five successful art exhibits and one acclaimed fashion show. To date, thirty one artists were showcased with over five thousand art enthusiast in attendance. Members of the committee are - Marijka Hoczko - Chair, Ihor Bilynsky, Halyna Martyn, Maria Mizak and Eryna Korchynsky. Dimitri Woznyj considers himself to be a doodler.
